The Green Issue; Helping you to see the wood for the trees

The Green Issue; Helping you to see the wood for the trees

The environment is everywhere, and touches every part of our life and all industry sectors.

In business our clients now require us to answer questions on everything from paper recycling to offsetting carbon emissions. Our challenge as Information professionals, is to sift through the deluge of content, and to provide advice on some of the diverse issues. This seminar aims to help you to ‘see the wood for the trees’.
Our two esteemed speakers have a wealth of experience advising on the environment, and its impact on the corporate world.

Helen Woolston is Group Environment and Climate Change Coordinator for Transport for London , where she directs programmes to minimise the impacts of transport, particularly working to introduce low carbon technologies and behavioural change initiatives.  She has previously managed environmental teams in a London Borough and a key manufacturing sector Trade Association as well as a role in the corporate environmental team at the BOC Group.  She is a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment where she writes the monthly Policy Briefing for the Environmentalist magazine.  Helen has a Masters' degree in environmental management and a postgraduate diploma in information management.

Gina Nason has been working with environmental information for over 11 years. After graduating in Information Management, she started out researching information on waste, and then moved onto the wider environmental arena, covering all aspects from climate change to water quality.  She has carried out environmental research and monitoring for journalists, an environmental consultancy and also within a government agency.  She is presenting this seminar in a personal capacity.
